Resilience has become a kind of buzzword when it comes to business and when it comes to our lives. We are told to be resilient and to bounce back from setbacks, and we also hear about the need for resilient organizations, especially in the wake of the turmoil in the world. But what to leaders need to understand about resilience and what are they getting wrong about it? To discuss that, Linda Nazareth is joined on this episode by Danielle King, Assistant Professor of Psychological Sciences at Rice University. They talk about what resilience really is, and what leaders need to understand about it to create a culture that encourages it in the right way.

Dr. King focuses the majority of her professional time on the study of RESILIENCE. Her work has been funded by the National Science Foundation and published in both book chapters and scientific articles. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College and her M.A. and Ph.D. in IO Psychology from Michigan State University.
