10 May Why We Need to Re-Skill to Face the Future of Work
After I give keynote presentations at conferences, I often do a Q & A session, and inevitably people ask what they can do or what their kids can do to make sure that they are not left behind as the tech revolution (this one, we have had a few) takes hold. Basically it is a ‘can a robot do MY job?’ fear. The key to being happy to let the robot do you job though is to have a better one waiting for you. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has some thoughts on that too in their latest report on Skills and I looked at those for my latest Globe and Mail column. See it here.
